Pat Trimmer
The Unforgiving Minute
Chino
Pat Trimmer (me) first discovered film in 7th grade when, using the regular 8 camera he'd carried with him through WWII, her father helped her make her first short film, Superman Goes to a Dance. In college she upgraded to a thrift store super 8 camera that she used for the Film and TV classes she took along with classes for her major in Theater Arts.
After college Pat and her then husband made as many short movies as they could afford to buy film for. When the new consumer video cameras became available they began filming their major work, Drake. Starr--Rogue of the Galaxy.
During her 32 year career as a 7th grade English, science, and occasionally drama teacher, Pat often used a video camera as part of her lessons. YouTube and the Apple store taught her how to use imovie. Then her good friend and owner of Magnolia Street Productions, Tim Greenwood, gave her a good start in Premiere Pro.
Upon retiring she joined Pryde Pierce's Dream More than Sleep 48 Hour Film Project team and has been active in the IE film community ever since.
