Charese Mongiello
Movie Making Central
Charese Mongiello entered the realm of televison as a small child doing commercials in Pennsylvania for her parents Pizza shop. At age six she won the local award for best actress. Her passion and love for acting and creating art has never wavered. Through out the years she has produced, directed, modeled, taken acting classes, stage managed, and script supervised. At the age of 23 she built a small 60 seat theatre spending all of her life savings.
Eventually moving to Hollywood, Charese started two improv troupes and produced three plays in her first year.
Understanding that she needed to know how to make movies, she set out to take the best classes Hollywood had to offer. A class at The Richard Lawson studios lead to her meeting Jim Kelly Durgin, who became her script supervising mentor. She script supervised for 30 feature films as well as many commercials, web series, TV shows, industrials, and short films. She is a part of Local 871.
Her script supervising experience enabled her to learn the film making process by doing and observing. She got to watch others make mistakes and correct them on someone else’s dime.
In addition to producing and directing over 35 shorts, a web series, and two feature films, she has helped and encouraged many artists to create their own projects. Charese says she "enjoys the filmmaking process from beginning to end."
