Beaumont
Pryde Pierce has produced, directed, written, and acted in award-winning short films and received rave reviews for his roles on stage.
A third-generation Pastor's son, he was raised in Illinois in a strong protestant household. At seventeen he joined the Army Infantry. During his two-years of active duty he was promoted three times, met then-President of Haiti Jean Bertrand Aristide, received two Army Achievement Medals, and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal.
Upon returning to Illinois, he and a group of friends formed a music production company that produced a variety of R&B and Hip-Hop local acts along with his own R&B singing group "Sylohet." He eventually became disillusioned with the music business and returned to school.
Quite by chance he was cast in a college production of A Raisin in the Sun. Now "bit by the bug" and in love with theater, he began devouring books on everything from acting to production, supplementing his independent study with acting classes for non-majors. He was cast in each of the next five plays he for which he auditioned, and this led to his being cast in many local independent commercial and film projects.
After being considered for the Acting MFA program at California Institute of the Arts, he moved to Southern California. He continues to broaden his skill set, win awards, and work towards a steady and successful career in visual storytelling.
